APMA Advocacy Drives PRF Reporting Portal Reopening—April 22 Reporting Request Deadline

APMA is very pleased to announce that the HRSA has re-opened the Provider Relief Fund Reporting Portal for PRF recipients who were unable to report during Reporting Period 1 or 2 because of extenuating circumstances. HRSA took this action after hearing from APMA and other member associations, whose members expressed serious concerns about the Period 1 funding they received being recouped despite good faith intents to report and the impact it would have on their practices.

While the abstract of this study was published in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics, the paper in its entirety has not been published, nor to our knowledge has it been accepted for publication by a peer-reviewed journal. It has also been pulled from presentation at future meetings due to problems with the study.

CARES Act Provider Relief for COVID-19

On April 10, the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) began implementing the Provider Relief fund established by Congress, a $175 billion relief fund to assist health-care providers during the pandemic. The fourth round of application for Provider Relief Funds opens on September 30, 2021, and will close on October 26, 2021. The first reporting deadline for providers who received more than $10,000 in aggregated funds from the PRF from April 10, 2020 to June 30, 2020 must report by September 30, 2021, but HHS has extended a grace period of 60 days to report.
